Rivalry and lack of understanding of the other party are one of the causes of potential disagreements. As we know, there are several reasons for conflicts between team members. But one of the most common is the difference in people's beliefs, thinking, and personalities. However, successful empathic leadership resolves any conflict through conflict resolution strategies.

What are the top conflict resolution strategies for the workplace?

In the workplace, team management must be able to resolve team conflicts. How is that? Simply, by using Emotional Intelligence In Leadership effectively and following the strategies below:

Conflict Resolution Strategies

  • Understanding the problem:

It consists in listening to the parties involved in the conflict first. Then, understand the points of view and know the causes of the problem to solve it appropriately.

It is usual for management to find it challenging to solve problems. However, the problem will be exacerbated if each party needs to understand it. Therefore, the management must assist with negotiation, not argument, listening to all parties, and proposing solutions that satisfy everyone.

  • Avoidance

It is one of the most critical conflict resolution strategies. This strategy is to avoid conflicts as much as possible and to make procedural methods to prevent any problems.

This strategy creates a healthy and positive work environment. Although it is effective, it does not last permanently. Therefore, this strategy also includes identifying potential conflicts before they occur and drawing up a plan for optimal dealing with them and with the other party.

  • Collaboration

It is a widespread conflict resolution strategy. It is helpful because it sets the same goals for the conflicting parties, forcing them to follow effective collaboration methods to achieve those goals. Not to mention that collaboration creates an impact and a positive environment, which helps remove obstacles to problem-solving and facilitates agreement between the conflicting parties.

  • Bargaining

Sometimes, choosing a solution that satisfies everyone in the negotiations seems complicated. Also, continuing the conflict is disturbing, so bargaining is necessary here. In other words, finding a middle ground so that each party gives up a private aspect, even if it is essential. The aim is to find a solution to the problem and eliminate it, to satisfy everyone while doing justice.

In Conclusion,
