How can law enforcement identify human trafficking before exploitation escalates and more lives are put at risk? Combating this complex crime requires more than surveillance and enforcement; it demands informed judgement, an understanding of trafficking indicators, and a victim-centred approach that recognises coercion, vulnerability, and trauma. Effective intervention also depends on cooperation between agencies and respect for human rights.
Human Trafficking Detection and Interception by LPC is a five-day course designed to strengthen participants’ ability to recognise trafficking patterns, identify potential victims, apply relevant legal frameworks, and respond appropriately at borders and other control points. It also explores interception procedures, ethical safeguards, referral pathways, and multi-agency coordination.
Participants will develop practical approaches to case assessment, victim protection, information sharing, and prevention planning, helping improve operational responses while supporting the safety, dignity, and rights of vulnerable individuals.
