This course deals with the design and analysis of products or solutions and the modeling of process flow and business processes with BPMN 2.0. With BPMN simulator you can go through the models you have created and see what the lead time and costs are of the resources involved.
Level & prior knowledge is expected basic knowledge about processes and control flow. Participants without BPMN knowledge can follow an extra pre-course day to provide basic knowledge about analysis and BPMN. HBO thinking level is expected. It is a course at HBO/post-HBO level.
- the basics of BPMN language and practice making BPMN process models so that you understand how to correctly apply BPMN syntax.
- advanced applications of BPMN, how you can use time-boxes (deadlines) and events in your models and roll back processes.
- the BPMN Conversation technique to specify communication between participants.
- the BPMN Collaboration technique and how to get from collaborations to BPMN process models, often this involves providing insight into mutual interfaces between participants/actors.
- how choreographies work and how you can combine them with BPMN process models.
- business analysis and business process management in the sense that we look at adding value to processes and how to combine or split processes.
- Business analysis techniques to make a correct analysis.
- how to use data flow and databases within BPMN process models.
- the quality of your BPMN models and apply qualitative analysis.
- applies quantitative analysis techniques to determine the progression of a process chain.
- how you can run simulations with models and visualize process performance etc. on a dashboard.
Target group for everyone involved in modeling processes, such as business analysts, process designers, process analysts, subject matter experts, process owners, process managers, functional managers and AO employees.
