  • Exploring the role and responsibilities of scaffolds workers groups:

  •      Erectors/ Dismantlers

  • Understanding the importance of ensuring scaffolding safety
  • Discussing how to use manufacturer instructions to ensure safety during all work levels

Scaffolding Hazards & Risk Assessment

 

  • Discussing the common hazards associated with all scaffolds:

  •      Falls from elevation
  •      Collapse of the scaffold
  •      Being struck by falling tools, work materials, or debris
  •      Electrocution
  •      Unsafe work practices
  •      Weather-related hazards

  • Differentiating between competent and qualified person
  • Understanding the importance of assessing risks and hazards
  • Determining risk severity by probability of risk materializing and the impact of risk
