Ensuring safety in process equipment design and operation is critical to preventing industrial accidents, maintaining compliance with international safety standards, and optimizing operational efficiency. Effective process safety management integrates hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety engineering principles to minimize risks associated with chemical processing, pressure systems, and hazardous materials.

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of process safety principles, inherently safer design (ISD) strategies, hazard assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance requirements. Participants will gain hands-on experience in applying safety frameworks such as HAZOP, LOPA, and FMEA, designing and maintaining pressure relief systems, implementing safety instrumented systems (SIS), and conducting safety audits and inspections to ensure ongoing process safety improvements.

Through case studies, practical exercises, and industry best practices, participants will develop the skills needed to enhance workplace safety, prevent catastrophic failures, and manage emergency response planning effectively.
