The current policy agenda and developing a culture in health care increasingly encourage the exposure and debate of ethical and legal issues.

The development of mechanisms for ethical review within the machinery of Clinical Governance and the changes in ethical governance of professions have highlighted the importance of ethical issues and are contributing to a culture of more open discussion.

In an increasingly litigious culture, the interface between health care and law is also becoming increasingly important. Professional practitioners need to be able to engage with these issues in a coherent and confident way. Such issues arise at all levels, policy, organisation, team and individual patient care, and this course also seeks to address all these levels.

Legal and Ethical Aspects of Healthcare Training course will assist the practitioner to recognise and engage with these issues by application of the principles to the practice situation. The course is fundamental in both health law and ethics, providing a solid foundation in a wide variety of current healthcare issues in an understandable format that carefully guides the delegates through practical ways in order to improve the quality and safety in the delivery of patient care.
